The Trinity Trailblazers were back in action Friday night after two weeks away for mid-terms and game re-scheduling. The Blazers faced a very difficult opponent in Veritas and came up short of a victory. Peter Yamasaki led Trinity's scoring effort and posted another double-double with 23 points and 10 rebounds. Trinity competed throughout, despite being down by double digits most of the game. The game provided a good opportunity for the Trailblazers to size themselves up against the upper tier of the conference and determine what changes and improvements need to be made in order to reach the pinnacle themselves. Chris Lee and Nikita Sifonios were a welcoming sight after being out for a couple of weeks due to injury and illness respectively. Their efforts were noticeable at the times when they were needed the most.

Final Score: TCS- 41, Veritas- 62

10-8 (4-5)

Upcoming Schedule:

Trinity returns to the hardwood Monday, January 30th to face Kearny Christian in the second game of a five game home stand. Tip-off is scheduled for 4:00 pm.

Tuesday night, the Trailblazers take the court against Bergen Christian in a 3 game triple header between the JV girls, JV boys, and Varsity Men. This is an "away" game for Trinity even though it is being held in Montville because Bergen Christian is having maintenance done to their gym. Tip-off for the varsity game is at approximately 6:15 pm.

The Trailblazers also have a home game on Friday, February 3rd against American Christian with a tip-off at 4:00 pm.

A special announcement:

Your Trinity Trailblazers are looking to encourage as many family, friends, and fans to make it out to Monday's game against Kearny on January 30th to support one of the team's members who is on the cusp of his 1000th varsity career point. Peter Yamasaki is 6 points away from this accomplishment and we want to recognize him and show him support for obtaining this milestone in his career. Peter will be the first male student-athlete to accomplish this feat at Trinity Christian School. Come on out and show your love for your Blazers!
